An “active” ingredient (like Vitamins A, B, D and E) is an ingredient or combination of ingredients that impact the way in which a process happens. Active enzymes have energy. Energy moves and will eventually run out of…energy.
If active ingredients are mixed or diluted within a liquid mixture, they may easily move about as the solution isn’t very dense, so the active ingredients quickly run out of energy. When active ingredients are in a more solid solution, the density will prevent them from running out of energy as quickly as those in a liquid solution.
